Ahnd & Pakin.
Different journeys.

These atolls lie beyond Pohnpei’s lagoon. An outing involves an ocean crossing and arrangements at the destination. Proximity alone does not establish whether a day trip will work.

Ahnd / also written Ant or And

Ahnd lies southwest of Pohnpei. Its islands and lagoon are privately owned; discuss permission before travelling. Avoid assuming an empty beach is open to visitors.

Ask where a boat can take you, who has agreed to receive you and whether the weather allows the planned return.

Pakin

Pakin lies northwest of the main island and has a resident community. Its reef lacks a conventional navigable passage into the lagoon, making arrival more complicated than a routine boat transfer.

Mwoakilloa (Mokil) & Pingelap
Inhabited atolls east of Pohnpei. The tourism office describes small-aircraft and ship options; ask what is operating for your dates and who can arrange your stay.
Sapwuahfik (Ngatik)
An atoll southwest of Pohnpei. Ask about both the journey to the atoll and onward boat transfers when discussing air or ship arrangements.
Nukuoro & Kapingamarangi
Farther south, these communities have distinct Polynesian languages and cultural traditions. The tourism office describes ship-based access; Nukuoro has no airstrip.
Oroluk & Minto Reef
